A diver is a catering professional who specializes in diving and maintaining dishes and cooking utensils. He or she may work in restaurants, hotels, cafeterias, conference centers, or fast food establishments. The diver is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting dishes, cutlery, cutlery, pots, pans, cooking utensils, and work surfaces to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen.
Main responsibilities:
- Cleaning and disinfecting dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, kitchen utensils and work surfaces
- Collection and storage of dirty dishes for washing
- Use of dishwashing machines and cleaning products to wash dishes
- Emptying trash cans and sorting waste for recycling
- Cleaning floors, walls and kitchen equipment
- Compliance with hygiene and food safety standards in cleaning and maintaining the kitchen
- Collaboration with other staff members to ensure efficient and timely service
Skills required:
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining high precision and attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety standards and government food hygiene regulations
- Ability to work independently while being part of a team
- Good physical condition to work standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy loads
Education and experience required:
- No formal training is required, but cooking or catering experience may be an asset
- Customer service experience is an advantage
Remuneration:
A diver's hourly rate varies according to geographic region and experience. On average, the rate used by Onestaff's partner establishments is €14.00 excluding tax/hour.
