Main responsibilities:

• Create and develop dessert and pastry recipes for menus
• Prepare and bake desserts and pastries, such as cakes, pies, pies, macarons, and croissants, using traditional and modern cooking techniques
• Decorate desserts and pastries with icing, toppings, and artistic presentations
• Manage food stocks and orders for products needed to prepare desserts and pastries
• Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety standards in the preparation of desserts and pastries
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Skills required:

• Excellent cooking skills and creativity for designing recipes and decorations for desserts and pastries
• Knowledge of traditional and modern cooking techniques
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Ability to effectively manage time to respond to customer requests
• Knowledge of food safety standards and government food hygiene regulations
• Ability to work independently while being part of a kitchen team

Education and experience required:

• Diploma in pastry or equivalent experience in the culinary field
• Experience working in a pastry shop, restaurant, café, or hotel
• Basic knowledge of managing stocks and ordering products needed to prepare desserts and pastries

Remuneration:

The hourly rate of a Baker varies according to the geographical region and experience. On average, the rate used by Onestaff's partner establishments is €18.00 excluding tax/hour.
