The bartender is responsible for preparing and serving drinks in bars, restaurants, and entertainment establishments. Bartenders are generally experts in mixology and should be able to create original cocktails as well as serve classic drinks such as beer, wine, and spirits.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to customers
- Create original cocktails using fresh and quality ingredients
- Manage beverage and bar supplies inventory
- Maintain a clean and organized bar
- Manage financial transactions related to drinks
- Interacting with customers to provide exceptional customer service
- Monitor the inebriated state of customers to avoid excessive drinking situations

Education and experience required:
Most employers are looking for candidates who have previous experience as a bartender or in the restaurant business. Mixology training programs are also available and can be beneficial for candidates looking to gain additional beverage preparation skills. Food safety certification may also be required by some employers.

A Bartender's hourly rate varies according to geographic region and experience. On average, the rate used by Onestaff's partner establishments is €18.00 excluding tax/hour.
