The nursing assistant works closely with the nurse to care for patients in health facilities such as hospitals, nursing homes, or care centers. He/she is responsible for the health, safety and well-being of patients. Her duties include helping with the toilet, dressing, feeding, and mobilizing patients. He/she may also be required to administer certain treatments or medications, under the supervision of the nurse.
Main responsibilities:
- Ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients
- Helping patients wash, dress, eat, move, and groom
- Perform routine care (temperature measurement, dressing change, etc.)
- Monitor patients' health and alert the nurse in case of problems
- Participate in the preparation of medications and treatments
- Participate in the management of medical equipment and medication stocks
- Ensure the cleanliness and disinfection of rooms and equipment
- Accompany patients during their trips and transfers
- Participate in the transmission of information between the various health professionals.

Education and experience required:
- State Diploma in Nursing Assistant
- Continuing training to keep up to date with changes in the profession and care techniques.
Remuneration:
The hourly rate for a health care assistant varies according to geographic region and experience. On average, the rate used by Onestaff's partner establishments is €18.00 excluding tax/hour.
